Dan challenges us with these powerful words:
“Teddy Roosevelt said, ‘To educate a person in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society.’ Do you think society’s standards have improved, deteriorated, remain unchanged? Do you think there is an ethics crisis in America? One recent national election day poll indicated that 56% of voters thought that America’s problems are “primarily moral and social.” Only 36% thought that the nation’s problems were “primarily economic.” If we want to have a nation that exhibits ethical morals, then those morals must be taught. Hoping to acquire morals by chance is a recipe for societal disaster."
